Rosemary Poole-Carter

Rosemary Poole-Carter is a novelist and playwright whose work focuses on the history, mystery and eccentricity of the American South. Her novels Women of MagdaleneWhat Remains,  and Juliette Ascending are all set in post-Civil War Louisiana. Her plays include The Familiar, a ghost story, The Little Death, a Southern gothic drama of 19th century New Orleans, and Mossy Cape, based on Southern folklore.  Rosemary is a member of the Historical Novel Society, Mystery Writers of America, and the Dramatists Guild of America. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, she lives in Durham, North Carolina.
