Drew Bridges

Drew Bridges is the author of The Second-Greatest Baseball Game Ever Played.

He is a retired psychiatrist who is restoring himself to his default identity of English major through his writing and by opening The Storytellers Book Store in Wake Forest with his wife Lauren. The Second-Greatest Baseball Game Ever Played is the story of his father’s journey home to build a life after wartime, told in part through his father’s letters to his mother from Italy in 1944-45, and in part through an afternoon of baseball that his father organized for a group of boys, 10-14 years old, in 1957. That game served as catalyst for the founding of the local Little League program, and as such is the second-greatest baseball game ever played.
