Craig LeHoullier lives and gardens in Raleigh with his wife, Susan. After a long career in Pharma as a chemist and project manager, his career change to author was fully realized with the release of his first book, Epic Tomatoes (Storey Publishing), in December 2014. His second book, on straw bale gardening, will be out at the end of 2015.
One of the foremost experts on heirloom tomatoes, Craig serves as adviser for tomatoes to the Seed Savers Exchange. He is in the midst of significant travel promoting Epic Tomatoes, providing workshops at the Northwest Flower and Garden Show in Seattle and the Philadelphia Flower Show, with major talks at the Seed Savers Exchange event in Iowa and the Heritage Harvest Festival in Monticello to come. Perhaps best known for naming and making available the popular heirloom tomato Cherokee Purple, Craig’s garden activities are blogged at www.nctomatoman.com
